Bangalore, Feb 13: National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Bangalore Liaison Officer V Lakshman has been selected by the Public Relations Council of India for its annual 'Chanakya’ award for the most promising PR person.

The award is given for the valuable contributions in the field of Public Relations, who have contributed to the development of the profession.

Vijay Sankeshwar of VRL Logistics has been selected for the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year'.

IAS officer D C Someshekar has been selected for the award in Public Administration and Aparna
Narayanaswamy in the field of telefilms, according to Press Information Bureau press release.

'Sudha,’ Kannada weekly magazine of the Deccan Herald-Prajavani group has been selected as 'Magazine of the Year.’

The Chanakya awards are presented every year to PR professionals with exceptional records and to those who have contributed to the development of the profession are inducted into 'PRCI Hall of fame.’

The awards would be presented during the global communication conclave organised to PRCI in association with Press Club, Mumbai on February 14 and 15, 2014, said an official press release from PRCI.
