Mangalore, Feb 14: The Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mangalore, the premier District level Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Coastal region of Karnataka, which is serving the Trade, Commerce, Industry and general welfare of the people of the erstwhile Dakshina Kannada District in particular and the whole of Karnataka State and the Nation in general for the past over 73 years has celebrated its Annual Members’ Day on Sunday February 9 at Loyola Hall of St Aloysius P U College, Kodialbail, Mangalore.
The annual Members’ Day of KCCI is being celebrated for the past nearly three decades, where members of the Chamber, members of their families and friends and well-wishers assemble in gaiety, participate in various fun - frolic and entertainment programmes / activities followed by fellowship dinner.
This is also an occasion / a forum for KCCI to recognise distinguished Members of Chamber and special invitee guests.
This year the chamber had the rare opportunity of having the popular Malayalam Cine Star Mammutti as guest of honour during the Members’ Day celebrations.
On behalf of all esteemed members of KCCI he was felicitated in recognition of his achievements in the field of motion picture entertainments. He most humbly acknowledged the good gesture of KCCI and the Chamber and its members for greater heights in the days ahead.
P P Upadhya, the managing director of member and sponsor of the event ONGC – MRPL, a very humble but a visionary personality leading the major Petrochemical Industry of National and International repute was also present.
The progress / achievements of ONGC – MRPL itself speeks in volumers about his capabilities. KCCI is proud of P P Upadhya.
He was felicitated on the occasion in recognition of his contribution to the Petrochemical Industry and development of this region through ONGC-MRPL. He, acknowledged the honour and highlighted the future projects of ONGC MRPL to come up in this region and his commitment to the concerns of the people of DK.
