Mangalore, Feb 14: Gardening department and Siri Totagarike Sangha(R) will be organizing a Flower Exhibition from Saturday February 15 till February 17. The event will be inaugurated at 11:30 am in Kadri Park, Mangalore, to mark the completion of it golden jubilee on February 15.
 
A press meet was organized by the gardening department and Siri Totagarike Sangha(R) on Thursday February 13 at Kadri Park, Mangalore.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge B Ramanath Rai, wherein J R Lobo, MLA, Mangalore South, will preside over the ceremony.
 
Joe Pradeep D'Souza, senior assistant director of gardening, state level, Mangalore, addressing the reporters, said "For this year's flower exhibition more than 8,000 flower pots will be kept on show and various types of flowers will be showcased in the exhibition. Dakshina Kannada's favourite sport is Kambala, so cattle made of steel will be covered with Dutch roses. Various kinds of equipment will be available for sale and training programmes will also be organized for those people who are really interested in plantations and farming."
 
Preparations are going on for the exhibition and all the workers are busy in maintaining and garden as well as the flowers.
 
Lakshmi Rao Aroor, vice-president, Siri Totagarike Sangha(R), Yogesh H R, assistant director of gardening, Zilla Panchayath, DK, and Judith Mascarenhas were also present during the press meet.
