Mangalore, May 25: The Anti Rowdy Squad, during its search for rowdy Rakesh Malli in Puttur on May 23 caught Sathish Naik, an active associate of Rakesh Malli at his ‘Super Transport’ office in Puttur town. Naik tried slip away from the police, but was over powered and detained.

On the evening of May 23 the Anti Rowdy Squad headed by Vinay A Gaonkar Police Inspector arrested Naik (44) a resident of Servesh Farm House, Perla, Golikatte, Puttur and seized from him an unlicensed revolver of USA make with two rounds.

Naik has been handed over to Puttur Town police station where a case has been taken up against him under the Arms Act.

The revolver is worth over Rs 2.5 lacs. The accused has been produced before the jurisdictional court and has been released on bail.
