Mangalore, May 26:  A case of some miscreants pelting stones at a mosque at Karnad near Mulki here, on Thursday May 25 night, has been reported from Mulki police station.  The window panes of the mosque were damaged owing to pelting.

At 10.30 pm on Thursday night, the maulvi and others had returned from the mosque. At the same time, there was power failure in the area. Taking advantage of the situation, the miscreants pelted stones and damaged the window panes of the mosque.

On Friday May 26 morning when some people came to the mosque for prayers, the incident came to light and a huge crowd gathered at the spot.

Haji Abbas, president of Karnad mosque and H Aboobakker, vice president of Mulki town panchayat, have registered a case at the Mulki police station.

Mulki-Moodbidri circle inspector Mathew Thomas and Mulki police inspector Pratap Reddy have visited the place on Friday morning.
