Mexican long jumper disqualified from indoor championship


Tartu (Estonia), Feb 24 (IANS): Mexican long jumper Luis Rivera was disqualified from the National Indoor Athletics Championship here, the national sports commission (Conade) announced.

In a statement Sunday, Mexico's sports ruling body said Rivera committed three fouls in three attempts, preventing him from advancing to the finals, reports Xinhua.

The heat was won by the US' Tyron Stewart, with an 8.22-metre jump.
