Udupi, May 28: Udupi district deputy director of public instructions C N Narasimhamurthy has been transferred to Chamarajanagar district.

K Anand, who is working as the reader at the Teachers' Training Institute, Mangalore will be the new Udupi DDPI and will take charge on Tuesday, May 30.

A new twist to the transfer of the DDPI, the Public Instructions department officers and staff has submitted a memorandum to Zilla Panchayat president demanding for stern action against the outgoing DDPI.

The delegation has alleged that the Narasimhamurthy was a corrupt officer and was absent for many days without obtaining permission of ZP CEO. It has also been alleged that the irresponsibility of Narasimhamurthy resulted in poor SSLC results for the district.
