Puttur, Feb 26: Dakshayini, who was a native of the town, was killed in a road accident that occurred opposite Hosur Estate near Sakleshpur in Hassan district on Tuesday February 25.
Dakshayanini used to work as a teacher in Ramenalli lower primary school. On Tuesday, she was returning her home located at Ballupet. She was moving on national highway 75 on her Suzuki Access scooter, when a Mahindra pick-up vehicle coming from the opposite direction hit her head on at the Hosur Estate bend of the highway, and dragged her to a distance of about 50 metres before coming to a halt after hitting a tree of the adjacent coffee estate.
The deceased is survived by two sons. A case was registered in Sakleshpur police station in this connection.
