Karthik Poojary wins 'Mr Udupi' Championship

Udupi, Feb 27: The Fitness Club – Udupi in collaboration with the association of body builders Udupi organized the district level 'Mr Udupi' Championship on Saturday February 22 at Shamili Hall.
 
Pramod Madhawaraj, MLA inaugurated the championship by lighting the lamp. Sri Lasxivartheertha Swamiji of Shiroor Math graced the occasion.

Yashpal Suvarna, president, Fish Marketing Federation; Valentine D’souza, Mangalore City Crime Branch Inspector; Dr G Shankar, Industrialist, Jerry Vincent Dias of Mandavi Builders; Manohar Shetty of Sai Radha Group of concerns; Sudhir Shetty of Kirthi Builders, Purshotham Shetty, Industrialist; Darshan Poojary, Mohammed Moula, Indralli Jayakar Shetty, Divakar Shetty, President, Jayakarnataka Udupi District and Milind Salian, founder of Body Builder association Udupi and current treasurer; president Govadharn Bangera, secretary Shiva Kumar were present on the occassion.
 
Karthik Poojary emerged as the title winner from the 'Hardcore Team', Malpe, while Glen Dias, won the Most Improved Body builder of the year title from E – Fitness Udupi Club, and Ravi Raj Karkera won the best  poser, of Hardcore Malpe. A total of around 60 contestants participated in the Championship.
