Mangalore, May 30: CPI(M) leader and politburo member Brinda Karat addressed a the state-level conference of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) on Monday evening in town hall here.
The dais of the meeting was named after the late Sunil Bajal, a prominent DYFI leader.
Thousands took part in a procession before gathering in the town hall, in spite of the pouring rain. The procession wound its way through city's main roads.
