Sullia, May 30: It’s often a complaint that the people's representatives and politicians gulp up huge sum of public money. But what happened in Sullia was quite the opposite.

Sullia MLA S Angara who has had a clean political journey was tricked of his money on his way to Sullia from Bangalore.

The MLA was carrying a suitcase containing cash in a KSRTC bus and it was found to be missing on reaching Doddatota.

The MLA on realizing this contacted the Subramanya police and went to the KSRTC depot at Subramanya to make further enquiries.

The MLA later was informed that the suitcase was found deserted in Malleshwaram grounds, Bangalore. However Rs 20,000 was reported stolen from the suitcase. The MLA’s diary was recovered from the suitcase.
