Dubai, Mar 2 : Maa Creations, the brainchild of well-known Konkani-Kannada poet Arthur Pereira, released its third music album 'Hello Deva' on Friday, February 28 at Namaste Restaurant, Holiday Inn Hotel, Bur Dubai.
The Konkani music album had earlier been released in Mangalore on January 1 this year. The relaunch of the album in Dubai was witnessed by friends, family and well-wishers of Maa Creations' conveners.
'Hello Deva', a dream project of Arthur Pereira who was nominated for the Global Konkani Music Award in the best lyricist category, is already doing well in the Konkani music world, with the songs being appreciated by Konkani music lovers from all over.
Walter Nandalike of daijiworld.com released the album, while James Mendonca, entrepreneur and president of Mangalore Konkans, Dayan D'Souza, Konkani activist and Daiji Dubai Writers' Forum founder member, Joseph Mathias of Merit Freight Shipping, Vincent Fernandes of Mogachi Lahram who arranged the tunes to the songs in the album, were the guests for the evening. Arthur Pereira and convener of Maa Creattions Allen Pereira were also present on the dais.
Earlier, the album was symbolically launched by James Mendonca by unveiling the 'Hello Deva' poster. The video song produced by the Maa Creations was released by Dayan Dsouza.
Speaking on the occasion, Walter Nandalike urged Arthur to continue his good work in producing albums, and not to lose heart over any negative feedback from people. "People who face criticism are the ones who become successful, because it helps a person to improve himself," he said. Congratulating Arthur on his bold step in producing the music CD despite the hurdles he faced, he asked the audience to speak positively about the album to other people, and if there was any criticism to address it directly to Arthur, so that the album could get huge audience.
Walter specially lauded the music of this album directed by Cajetan Dais, which he described as rich and an example to other album producers.
James Mendonca, Dayan D'Souza and Joseph Mathias also spoke on the occasion, and appreciated the courage and efforts in bringing out a quality album.
Versatile singer Preema D'Souza enthralled audience with her melodious voice. Vincent Fernandes, Lancy Noronha, Joseph Mathias also rendered a few songs.
Earlier Arthur Periera welcomed the gathering. UAE's well-known compere, talented Roshan D'Silva conducted the event with his usual wit and humour.
The newly released album is now available in the UAE as well as back home home in India. The album consists of 12 songs sung by well-known names including Anita D'Souza, Rony D'Cunha, Rony Crasta and others, has rich music by Cajetan Dias and is considered a trend setter for Konkani music albums.
