Dubai, Mar 2: The Carnaval De Goa was held at Sheraton Deira, Al Masah Ballroom on Friday February 28 amidst loads of entertainment and fun. Ripple Effects, The organizers of ‘The Carnaval De Goa’ left no stone unturned to ensure that the gala event enthralled everyone and had a lasting effect on the crowd. The evening was an enjoyable experience for children and adults alike.
Sheraton Deira, Al Masah Ballroom was ideally converted a perfect place for carnival for the evening with its festive decorations, setting up the right mood for everyone who entered it. Carnaval – which is considered a farewell to the pleasures of flesh before the start of Lent is celebrated globally. Thanks to the strong influence of Portuguese culture the event marks one of the most artistic and wonderful experiences for the people of Goa. The crowd present at the venue, mainly Goans ensured that they felt the pulse of evening and had their fill of festivities.
The crowd present had the carnival attire on and organizers made sure to make the carnival novelties available to those who did not have one. Spot prizes were distributed to those who dressed beautifully in carnival style. The two best bands of Dubai Fusion Again and Core 304 kept the audience spellbound, ensuring that they could not resist the temptation to get on the dance floor to the mesmerizing numbers played by them. The bands performed a number of songs in sync with the mood of the carnival and kept the evening ablaze with their performance to the cheering crowd who shook legs to their beat all evening. A DJ was also present at the venue to ensure that the crowd had the best music on the dance floor.
The best part of evening was the entry of ‘King MoMo’ who entered the hall in a parade, carried on a palanquin accompanied by the sultry samba queens who danced their way amidst the cheering crowd. King Momo addressed his guests and the special dance troupe entertained the audience with their enchanting dance.
A number of prizes were given away at the venue including for the best dressed couple, best dressed kids, best dancers, lucky draws, spot prizes etc. The winner of the lucky draw prize went home with a flat screen 40” HD TV. Everyone enjoyed the sumptuous and grand buffet dinner. Unlimited soft drinks and beverages made available by the organizers at the venue kept the party mood soaring. In entirety the organizers ensured that everyone had a gala time at the venue before retiring for the night.
