Mangalore: 50 colleges to participate in national-level Medha fest

Mangalore, Mar 2: 'Medha-14', a two-day national-level technical fest, one of the most spectacular events organized by the students of Sparkle - an Association of MCA of Shree Devi Institute of Technology (SDIT), will be held on of March 4 and March 4. Last year, 'Medha-13' witnessed participants from more than 30 colleges from across the country. This year 'Medha' has returned with all its glory with over 50 entries.

'Medha' provides the students an opportunity and creates an environment for healthy competition yet fun, and also a huge scope for overall learning and helps the students to emerge to be a true leader in their own right. The events are spread over two days. This year with new improved and interesting events it will provide a ground for the best minds in the country to battle it out. 

The highlight of this year’s 'Medha' includes Medha-14 mobile app, a first ever used android online application, which gives information including all the updates directly from 'Medha' venue.

This app will be launched a day prior to the fest that is on March 3. Using this user friendly application everyone can access the recent updates happening on the day of the fest from any corner.
 
MYSTIKO, an online treasure hunt event is introduced for the participants interested in online gaming. It is a gaming zone invented to test the logical and analytical skills of the students. The winner who solves the mystery using the clues and finds the treasure will be awarded with an attractive cash prize and first 10 participants will be rewarded with certificate on the valedictory function.

Ever since 'Medha' started it is well-known for its uniqueness with the usage of emerging trends of technology.

The hub of events is categorized to test the technical and soft skills of the students of both UnderGraduate and PostGraduate. The events are Web designing, Coding, Research Paper Presentation, IT Dumsharads, Twister , SQL Queries, Best Manager, etc. The cultural extravaganza on the 1st day is organized to add a flavor of joy to the fest which would rejuvenate each and every participant.
 
'Medha'-14 will be inaugurated on March 4 at 9.30 am in the auditorium by Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, Dakshina Kannada. A Sadananda Shetty, chairman, Shree Devi Education Trust will preside over the function. Anand, chief associate vice-president, Udayavani will release the departmental newsletter “Spoorthy”.
 
The valedictory function will be held on March 5 at 5 pm in the auditorium. Vishnuvardhan, DyCP, Mangalore will be the chief guest. Praveen Kumar Kalbavi, managing director and CEO, Novigo Solutions, Managlore and Ambreen Ashkar Shaan, CEO, Keen Tech To and Kiran technologies, Mangalore will be the guests of honour.
