Dubai, Mar 3: Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE) Global will host a talk on 'Competencies and Skills of an Entrepreneur' at India Club, Dubai on Saturday March 8 at 6.30 pm.
Felix Mascarenhas will be the resource person for the talk.
Focus of the talk
What impacts most the success of an entrepreneurial enterprise? Is it -
- the utility and quality of the product offered?
- the superiority of the services delivered?
- the depth and breadth of markets covered?
- how financially prudently the business is managed?
- the Logistics competitive advantage that a business has?
- the superior level of customer satisfaction delivered?
- the efficiency of internal processes deployed?
- the effectiveness of systems developed and implemented?
- the person behind all the above outputs?
The talk will explore the above questions and focus on the critical qualities of the person or people who started and established the enterprise and run(s) it successfully to deliver all or most of the above objectives and outputs.
Does the entrepreneur have innate traits which he is born with?
Or is there a set of knowledge and skills he or she can acquire to run the business successfully? In other words are entrepreneurs born or can they be developed?
The talk will stimulate participants to think about what made them successful entrepreneurs and guide budding entrepreneurs to understand the ingredients of a successful entrepreneurial personality. Both segments of participants can benefit from such an understanding of the Competencies and Skills of a successful entrepreneur.
About the Speaker
Felix Mascarenhas has 42 years of experience in the HR Function across the Middle East and Sub-Continent in countries like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Cairo, Iran, Vietnam and Thailand and has visited the UK, Australia, Netherlands, the Philippines, and Singapore on business.
Felix Mascarenhas has worked in Senior HR Management positions with the ICI Group of companies, Johnson and Johnson Ltd. and Richardson Vick Ltd. (now Procter and Gamble Ltd) all in India. He has over 20 years experience in Senior HR management with the Al Futtaim Group of Companies in Dubai. Felix has strengths in Strategic HR Management, Reward Management, OD and the Design and development of Strategic HR Systems including HR Policies, Processes, Job Family modelling, Competency modelling, Performance Management, etc.
Felix has an honours degree in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay followed by post-graduation in Management (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
