Belgaum, Mar 4: Edwin J F D’Souza's 'Poinn' (The Journey), an anthology of 22 Konkani short stories in Devnagari script was released during the inaugural session of the 29th session of the All India Konkani Parishad in Belgaum on February 28.
The Parishad which was inaugurated by R V Deshpande, minister of higher education, took place on a pandol erected near the Lingraj College in the Shankar Ramani Nagar’s Bhadragiri Achutydas dais.
The anthology was released by Arvind Bhatikar, retired IAS officer, the outgoing president of the Parishad, Avdoot Thimble, industrialist, and Gokuldas Prabhu, the new president of the Parishad.
This book with the financial support of Goa Konkani Akademi’s Sahitya Prabha Scheme has been published by Dilip Borcar, the editor of the monthly ‘Bimb’ under the banner of ‘Bimb Prakashan.’
