Mangalore, May 31 (Wednesday, 7 pm): "Chinchare", a Konkani book written by Jaison Suares Taccode was released by noted Konkani poet Vally Quadros Ajekar on Wednesday May 31 afternoon.  The function was held at 3.45 pm at the Sandesha Auditorium here.

Fr Francis Lewis, director of Sandesha presided over the function while Dolphy Cascia, president of Konkani Writers Forum was the chief guest.

"Chinchare" is a collection of useful health and household tips.  This is the second book by Jaison who had earlier released his maiden book "Vadallam", a collection of short stories of noted Kannada writer Nagatihally Chandrashekhar, translated into Konkani.

"Chinchare" is published by Evershine Publications, Kelrai.  This is the maiden venture by Evershine Publications owned by young Konkani wrier Cantue Kelrai.

The birthday of ICYM director Fr Elias too was celebrated on the same occasion.

Jaison Suares welcomed the gathering and Cantue proposed vote of thanks. Santhu Mermajal compered the programme.
