Udupi, June 1: Sanjeev Poojary, a resident of Tekkatte near Kota here who had sustained serious injuries in an accident on Tuesday May 30 night, succumbed to the injuries in Wenlock Hospital at Mangalore on Wednesday May 31 morning.
Sanjeev Poojary was knocked down by a speeding Maruti car at Tekkate on Tuesday night while he was on his way home after finishing his work. He sustained serious injuries in the accident and was admitted to a private hospital at Kundapur or initial treatment. He was later shifted to KMC Hospital at Manipal before being admitted to Wenlock Hospital. However, he succumbed to the injuries on Wednesday morning.
The Kota police have registered a case against the car driver Shridhar Nayak in this regard.
