Mangalore: Fake cell phone parts seized, six arrested

Mangalore, Mar 6: The police, who raided six shops located in City Plaza building near Central Market in the city on Tuesday March 4, seized counterfeit spare parts and equipment worth Rs 35 lac that were being traded in these shops as genuine parts manufactured by Samsung company.

As many as 7,000 flip covers, head phones, adapters, chargers, memory cards, headsets, and blue tooth were some of the things seized during the raid.

These shopkeepers are accused of selling fake items by making the customers believe that they are genuine products manufactured by the company.

The raid was conducted based on specific information.
