Sullia, Jun 1: Eshwar Bhat, a resident of Shantinagar near here who is the prime accused in the rape of a six-year-old neighbouring girl has now been arrested again for threatening the witness on Wednesday May 31.  He has now been produced before the court by Sullia police.

Eshwar Bhat had been accused of raping a six-year-old girl a few days ago.  After the raping her, he had given her Rs 50 and asked not to tell anyone about it.  But the girl disclosed it to her father who in turn enquired Eshwar Bhat and then filed a case with the Sullia police in this regard.

Following this complaint, Eshwar Bhat was arrested by the police and was produced before the court which remanded him to 15 days judicial custody.  However, he was released a few days ago after securing bail from Mangalore sessions court.

Now Eshwar Bhat has been accused of threatening Krishna Bhat with life.
