Puttur, Mar 12: A case about raping a minor student stands filed at Kadaba police station in the taluk, against two youth. Allegedly, two persons had raped a tenth standard student residing at Bailumane in Aittoor village. One of the accused has since been arrested and produced in court.
The girl said in her complaint that two persons, Dhruva, her distant relative, and Purushottam Naik, a local, had raped her. She has accused these youth of getting her father, a liquor addict, heavily drunk before forcing themselves on her.
The policemen have registered a case. They succeeded in arresting Purushottam. Dhruva is said to be absconding.
