Udupi: SKPA hosts sports meet

Udupi, Mar 12: The annual sports meet of District level South Canara Photographer’s Association inuaguaration was held at MGM Stadium on March 11. The program was inaugurated by Jerry Vincent Dias.

In his inaugural address he said " there is a need for encouragement of concealed sports and provide equal importance to all sports. Our nation was recognized through Hockeybut now the sport has the least statust. It is a matter of shame."

 

"SKPA is trying to maintain this as a category of the Photographer’s Association. So photographers should register to their pension as soon as possible," said by Astromohan director of Karnataka Photographers association and Udayavani  photographers.

Sundara Poojari ,  president SKPA Udupi, Vasudevarao, district president SKPA Udupi, Sadanand Kanchan UBMC secretary, Dasappa Putran, owner of photo palace, Shashiraj Kundar, member of Kunjibettu Nagara sabha ward, Vaman Padukere,Sports secretary,Vilson secretary of Kendra Committee, Padma Prasad were all present.

The participants arrived from Ullal, Moodbidri, Mulki, Mangalore, Kaupu, Brahmavar, Karkala for the event.

Sebastian Anchan , secretary Udupi  Sports Zone welcomed the gathering, Shidhar Shetty delivered the vote of thanks and Raghavendra Sherigar compered the programme.
