Karkala: Two day workshop inaugurated at NMAM institute

Karkala, March 12: "Educational institutes have the responsibility of imparting quality education.  There are many opportunities for technically qualified students coming out of institutes after education.  The international technology and evaluation committee intends to evaluate the education on a global level and recognize it. The comittee ensures that institutes all over the world adopt similar
syllabus in their studies", said Dr Omid Ansari, Senior associate dean of America's Harisburgh Pennsylvania State university.

He was speaking after inaugurating a two days workshop on Technology, Technical evaluation committee and result oriented education at NMAM institute of technology.

N Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University and president of Nitte group of institutes who presided over the programme, spoke saying that there is immense demand for quality education and the workshop will help maintain it.

Dr V Sairam Rudhrabhattla, director of Central Laboratory for bio fuels, Pennsylvania State University Harisburg, America was present.

Dr Niranjan N Chiplunkar, professor of the institutes explained about the college and various recognitions obtained by it.  C Vaman Rao, head of the department of Biotech and host of the programme welcomed. Dr Shamprasad introduced the guests.  Dr Vidya compered the programme.

 Venkatesh Kamath proposed vote of thanks.

More than 60 professors from technical institutes in the state are participating in the workshop.
