Udupi, Mar 12: TAPMI and University of Dubai (UD) have joined hands to offer an 18 months MBA programme to Indian students. In a unique initiative, TAPMI, Manipal and University of Dubai (UD), have come together for this new endeavor.
UD was set up by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and hence has close links with the Industry. Its programs are one of the top accredited universities in the UAE – professional and bold, with community, innovation and diversity permeating all its activities. University of Dubai degree programs have been accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) in the UAE as well as by the best international accreditation bodies in the world: AACSB International, USA, for the College of Business Administration and ABET for the Computing and Information Systems program.
MBA of University of Dubai (UD) and TAPMI PGDM program are both accredited internationally by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), USA. On successful completion of the first year students go to University of Dubai where they will do their internship and the second year courses. On successful completion at UD, they will earn MBA degree from University of Dubai.
For admission 2014, the intake planned is maximumof 20 students. Candidates with a 4 year degree or post graduate degree from recognized Universities in India are eligible for the programme. Candidates must also have a valid TOEFL or IELTS score to be eligible for this programme.The total course fee is approximately Rs. 20 lakhs, of which Rs. 4.50 lakhs will be payable to TAPMI and the rest will include payment to UD, Visa Charges, hostel/stay at Manipal/Dubai. There is assured Placement opportunities for students of this programme and the students will be placed in suitable jobs in Dubai after the completion.
