Mangalore, Mar 14: The district BJP on Thursday March 13 released its campaign CD which is in Yakshagana format.

Addressing a press meet at the district BJP office on Thursday, BJP district president Pratap Simha Nayak said, "Focusing on Tulunadu's folk art, BJP has adopted Yakshagana in audio form for our campaign. The song also narrates BJP's contribution."

Giving details, he said, "While Patla Sathish Shetty has sung the Yakshagana song, Prashanth Shetty Vagenadu and Lavakumar have rendered Chende and Madale music. Siddakatte Vishwanath Shetty has written and narrated the lyrics.  B Devadas Shetty has assisted in the recording of the CD produced by BJP DK district committee."

"BJP has planned the campaign in three phases covering all 8 constituencies. The party will also hold booth level workers' convention in all the eight constituencies. There will be a workshop for party leaders at Sanghanikethan on March 15 at 10.30 am."

Conventions will be held on March 16 in Mangalore City North, Mangalore City South, Mangalore and Moodbidri constituencies. The conventions in Puttur and Beltangady will be held on March 17 and in Bantwal and Sullia on March 18", he added.

Capt Ganesh Karnik and Lok Sabha candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel released the audio CD.

B Devadas Shetty and others were present on the occasion.
