Mangalore, Jun 5: Having cleared all the hurdles on the Konkan railway route between Ratnagiri and Mumbai, Konkan railway has resumed the regular operation of trains from Sunday June 3, said Konkan railway sources.

Trains on Konkan railway route were running late owing to landslides and heavy rains in Maharashtra last week.  Though major landslides were not reported this year, thanks to preventive measure undertaken by Konkan Railway Corporation, tracks were under water in some places owing to incessant rains in Ratnagiri district.

However, now that the rains have given a breather, trains are running as per the schedule.
