Udupi: BJP election office inaugurated at Kaup

Udupi, Mar 16: "The country wants Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister. It is the desire of citizens, youth and the defense forces. BJP is facing elections under the leadership of Narendra Modi. We
are requesting for votes under the agenda of national integration," said Shobha Karandlaje, BJP contestant for Udupi-Chickmagalur Lok Sabha constituency.

She was speaking after inaugurating a convention of BJP workers of Kaup area held at Kaup market premises on Friday evening, March 14. She also inaugurated the Kaup BJP election office on the occasion.

Karkala MLA V Sunil Kumar said that the time has come to confront challenges of immoral activities, intruders, rapes, corruption, support to Naxalism, indirect support to terrorism and attempts to weaken national unity.

Former minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said that Narendra Modi has made a pledge for prosperous, strong, development oriented and confident India. "BJP will have to win in the state if Narendra Modi should become the prime minister. Let us take the first step by ensuring a win in Udupi-Chickmagalur constituency. Let us all unite and make Shobha Karandlaje win," he said to the party workers.

BJP district president Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, state secretary Shamala S Kunder, Sulochana Bhat, State parishat member Katpadi Shanker Poojary, State Yuva Morcha secretary Yashpal Suvarna, former MLA Lalaji R Mendon, Raghupathi Bhat, Udupi zilla panchayat president Upendra Nayak, zilla panchayat members Arun Kumar Shetty Padoor, Geethanjali Suvarna, BJP leaders Sheela K Shetty, Devadas Hebbar, Jerald Fernandes, Kuthyaru Naveen Shetty, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, Uday Kumar Shetty, B N Shanker Poojary, Vilas Nayak, Nayana Ganesh, Gladys Almeida, Kollabettu Ravindra Shetty, Shivaraj Mallar, Usha Shenoy, Pradeep U and others were present.

Kaup Kshetra BJP President Kuyiladi Suresh Nayak welcomed. Kaup area chief secretary Prakash Shetty Padebettu proposed vote of thanks. Secretary Santhosh Suvarna compered the programme.

    Are the youth and defense personnel not the citizens of india? Looks like Shobakka lacks even basic knowledge!!!

    Again a lie!!! Defense forces cannot show their liking towards any party. They have to be neutral. Are you sure Shobha and BSY that you both can take part in any debate in the parliament, I have my own apprehensions about many BJP candidates of Karnataka.
