Bangalore, Mar 17: Congress candidate for Bangalore South Nandan Nilekani carried out a padayatra in the constituency on Sunday and responded to the concerns of his voters.
 
The former UDAI chief, who started his poll campaign with a padayatra from Ambedkar Stadium in Govindarajanagar from 6 am, greeted the voters and discussed the agenda for the development of Bangalore.

He listened to the concerns of voters, many of whom expressed a need for change, and their worries about the long-ignored challenges in this constituency.

Nilekani also spoke to women's voters, who informed him about the water issues, they were experiencing in their areas as well as problems of road safety.

''There are two kinds of concerns we need to address,” Nilekani said, explaining: ''They are basic and aspirational. Our people are struggling with both.”

For example, the people need access to water and they also want to send their children to a good private school.

''We need to solve both these kinds of issues urgently, and with my manifesto I will work towards that,” he said.

The former Infosys co-founder also participated in a game of cricket and badminton during the padayaatra.
