Puttur, Jun 5: Three engineers from Bangalore who had gone for trekking in the forest areas of Kempuhole near Shiradi are still missing.  Till now none of them has been traced.  Their families along with the help of the locals, police and the forest department staff have been trying to locate them in the deep forests.  However, there have been no clues about their whereabouts so far.

The Bangalore based engineers Tejamurthy (35), Vasant Kumar (28) and Bhaskar Babu (28) had gone into the forest after getting down near Shri Chowdeshwari Temple at Shiradi Ghat around 11 am on May 28.  Earlier they had come to the PWD inspection bungalow asking for a lodge.  However, there was no one.  So they left their Maruti car in front of the gate and left to the forest.  Thereafter no one has spotted them.

Since many persons go for trekking in this area, locals did not take a notice about these 3 persons too.  The police undertook search operations after Tejamurthy's brother Shivkumar lodged a complaint with the Sakleshpur police on May 31.
