School-going children and office-goers experienced a bit of a relief. Traffic too moved smoothly in and around the city.

The cool weather has brought much relief after about two months of hot and sultry summer experience for the residents.

During the 24 hours ended at 8 am on Monday, the rainfall in the district was as follows:

Bajpe airport: 20.3 mm
Bantwal: 17.8 mm
Beltangady: 21.2 mm
Mangalore city: 5.8 mm
Puttur: 18.6 mm
Sullia: 52 mm
Uppinangady: 22.2 mm
