Mangalore, Mar 19: Central Sahitya Akademi award winning Konkani poet from Mangalore, Melvyn Rodrigues, has been invited as an observer for the World Poetry Festival to be held in New Delhi from March 21 to 24.
Poets from 22 countries will participate in this festival 'Sabad' being organised by the Sahitya Akademi and ministry of culture to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and 100th year of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore's receiving the Nobel prize.
The festival will be held at Meghdoot Theatre Complex at Rabindra Bhavan.
