Kasargod: Student drowns and dies in Arayi lake

Kasargod, Mar 20: An incident of a student's death by drowning has been reported from Arayi lake in Kanhangad.

The deceased has been identified as the son of near Kanhangad Ayyappa Garage resident, Auto driver Prem Kumar's son P Vishnuraj(15). He was a student of Durga HSS school.

The incident occurred when he went down for bath to the lake with his friends after SSLC exam. Though the locals rushed hearing the screams, he could not be saved. The dead body was lifted in the evening.  The body was given to his relatives after the post mortem in the district hospital at Kanhangad.
