Mangalore, Jun 7: Days in Mangalore are sunny in the absence of rain. Tuesday, June 6 was a sunny day with light showers at night. Wednesday morning too was sunny with no sign of any rain.

The five taluks of the district received an average rainfall of 4 mm. While Uppinangady received the highest rainfall of 10.2 mm, Beltangady taluk received no rain.

Sullia received 2.4 mm rain, Bantwal 5.6 mm, Puttur 4 mm and Bajpe airport received 4.6 mm.

The two sunny days have surprised Mangaloreans who had to beat the heat as temperatures rose on these days.
