Mangalore, Mar 23: Taking up the issue of nationality, a High Court advocate has filed his nomination for the forthcoming election as an independent candidate from Dakshina Kannada constituency on Friday March 21.

Iruvail Chandrahasa Shetty, resident of Iruvail, filed his nomination as an independent candidate.

Talking to Daijiworld, he said, “My aim is to aim for a non-Congress government. If I win this election I will work without hiking a single rupee; it will remain the same as it is now. Let all candidates do that. I will support any party other than Congress.”

Shetty, expressing dissatisfaction over all party candidates, said, “Without finding a proper candidate to vote for, I have come to this decision.”

Shetty has also worked for the district legal advisory committee for AAP. Commenting on AAP, he said, “There is no internal democracy there.”

He has also served as legal advisor for international companies, nationalized banks, and is involved in social service activities.
