Lakhimpur-Kheri (UP), Jun 8: A district court on Wednesday fixed July six for further hearing in the Indian Oil sales officer Manjunath murder case.

District Judge S N Abdi deferred the matter till July six after no witnesses turned up in the court for testifying in the case.

The prosecution had examined three witnesses yesterday.

Manjunath was shot dead on November 19 last year allegedly by Monu Mittal, the owner of a petrol pump, when the former had threatened to cancel his license after detecting adulteration.

His bullet-riddled body was recovered by the police in Sitapur district when the accused were allegedly trying to dispose it off.
