Udupi, Jun 8: Less than 12 hours after a teenager was killed on the spot in a road accident at Kallianpur near here, another youngman was killed in another road-crash in front of the Abhinandana petrol pump at Ambalpady near here on Thursday June 8 morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sachin (24), a resident of Baputhota near Malpe here.

On Thursday morning he was on his way home riding his bike on the National Highway 17 at Ambalpady.  As he was overtaking a vehicle, he saw another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.  To evade a possible collision, he suddenly turned his vehicle to left. 

Though he managed to evade a head-on collision with the vehicle coming from opposite direction, he hit a lorry going towards Kundapur from behind.  As a result, Sachin fell on the road and sustained serious injuries.

Though he was immediately rushed to the hospital, he had breathed his last on the way itself.

The Udupi town police have registered a case in this regard.
