Mangalore: DK bus operators’ Association launches new website

Mangalore, Mar 28: "The service of buses to the city is immense. They provide good service for the people. This good deed of service will be recognized by the society," said PB Harish Rai president of DK working journalists’ Association.  

He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the new website of the DK bus operators’ association (www.mangalorecitybus.com) here on Friday March 28.

Nelson Pereira president of DK bus operators’ Association said “These bus services contribute to the progress of the city. They are an undivided part of society. Proper time management is being maintained."

On this occasion, V K Putran general secretary, Dilraj Alva treasurer  Jayasheel Adyanthaya vice president, AK Jayaram Sheka were also present.

Addressing the media at the press meet scheduled soon after the inaugural Nelson Pereira said “We have introduced ‘student cards’ which provides 60% concession in bus passes for all students.  For students who are studying in the first to the seventh standard will be provided with 75% concession in bus pass from the April 1 2014. To avail this facility students should download the application from the website. It must contain an authorized signature from the concerned schools and colleges and later submitted to the office."

    It is not an order, but a request : Sir I kindly request the DK bus association to add one more bus to route # 1 plying between State bank and tanirbhavi by PTC .. cause presently only one bus is plying in this route which causes more inconvenience to the locals and other tourists when the bus face some mechanical problems. Henceforth I humbly and kindly request the authorities to facilitate the commuters. Thank you.
