Mangalore, Jun 9: A complaint regarding the betelnut worth Rs 17 lac being stolen has been filed in the Bunder police station.  The betelnut was sent to Gujarat from the city in a lorry. One Bharat Jadeja and Mohammad had travelled on the same lorry

Jagdish Bhai, a betelnut trader from the city had sent betelnut worth Rs 17 lac to Gujarat through city-based Gujarat transport.  A lorry (MH-03-3571) carrying the betelnut load had left the city on Saturday June 3 and was expected to reach Gujarat.  A total of Rs 10,000 was paid to Gujarat transport in advance.

However, even by June 8, the lorry neither reached the said destination nor came back to the city.  Meanwhile there has been no news from anyone about the whereabouts of the lorry either. 

So Jagdish Bhai has now filed a complaint in the Bunder police station against Gujarat Transport, Bharat Jadeja and Mohammad Abbas in this regard.
