Mangalore, Jun 10: The Kankanady police have arrested 4 persons for ransacking a restaurant at Padil for selling beef on Friday June 9.

The arrested have been identified as Bhushan of Bajal-Jalligudde, Prasad Kumar of Attavar New Road, Sudhakar of Adyar and Prasad, a resident of Karmar near Padil.

The accused had come to Hotel Everest at Padil on Wednesday June 7 night and asked the supplier for beef chilly.  When the supplier served them beef chilly, they started ransacking the restaurant.  The four damaged the furniture, showcase in the restaurant.  They also damaged the adjacent STD booth.

Following this, the restaurant owner had filed a complaint with the Kankanady police who have now arrested the four.
