Mangalore: Jilted lover dies after being hit by car at Mulky, father alleges murder

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (DV)

Mangalore, Apr 1: A youth died after he was hit by a car at Pavanje under Mulky police station limits near here early morning on Tuesday April 1.

The deceased has been identified as Avinash (21). Though it is said to be a case of accident, Avinash's father has alleged that he was murdered.

Sources said that Avinash was in an affair with a girl from several years, but during the last two months, the girl had been ignoring him without any apparent reason.

On Monday March 31, Avinash is said to have gone to her workplace and created a scene, demanding to know her reasons for ignoring him. The girl's colleagues called the police and Avinash was taken into custody. He was later released on bail by his friends.

After his release, Avinash did not go home, but instead spent time with his friends. On Tuesday at around 5 am, he came to Pavanje bridge and waited for the girl to finish her night shift and pass that way. He planned to confront her again.

The girl after her night shift came in a car and when passing through Pavanje bridge, the driver of the car hit him.

Avinash was rushed to hospital where he died.

Speaking to daijiworld, Avinash's father said that the girl's father was opposed to the affair and claimed that his son was murdered.

Avinash was employed as a car driver at a cashew factory.

A case has been registered in Mulky police station. Sources said that the police have taken the girl's father for questioning.

Well said Roshan Braganza. Hindustan is a only place for most females with the criminal mindset to survive. The gender biased and corrupt law system of Hindustan helps them to safe. Shame on the Gender biased law system of India. RIP Avinash.

    Possibilities:
    1. Guy tried to forcibly stop the car @5 AM near the bridge and driver panicked and accident happened. I don't know what I would od if someone unexpectedly tried to stop my car @5AM near a bridge.
    2. Murder
    3. Suicide.

Eloping with the boy and cheating him is not a crime in india and girl cannot be arrested. Strange , the laws are there only to favour women. If the boy was in girls place , he would have been arrested on the counts of ' rape on the false promise of marriage.

At least the police should arrest this vociferous girl on the counts of murder

Sordid end to a longtime love story, a case of betrayal!!

Looks like the boy, in desperation, might have gone to stop the running vehicle and in the process got knocked down as the girl had absolutely no intention of meeting him as evident from the earlier incidents!! RIP!!

The article never mentioned that they were in relation, but were having an affair. (why not Love affair.)

Now, please do not make further analysis as to love affair or physical relation.

I am confused. for father it's a murder. But why this fellow is behind that girl. Once it went to the extreme of she giving him to the police and all... he should have taken as enough and concentrated on his future. Now see, no loss for that girl nor her family. Loosers are his family members. I am sure he would have tried to stop the car inw hich she was travelling and the driver wouldn't have stopped and in turn he must hit fatally. Now who will fight, right or wrong. gone life is gone. Now look at the struggle for his father... investigations, legal procedures... he never thought about all those. RIP

May be he was drunk with his friends whole night and in an attempt to stop the car may be jumped in front of the car. Post-mortems will reveal the truth, whether he was drunk or not, to decide its an accident, murder or suicide.

Premeditated murder or suicide bid. The boy was hit by the girls car (the driver should know well) or else the boy must have flung himself at the girls speeding car (suicide bid) This is only my guess. I am no Sherlock Homes. A boy lost his life cause of a girl. RIP

This not love affair, but looks like conquering love by force.
Avanish must have taken a drastic step out of desperation.
Precious life has gone forever because of your foolish act. Loss of both Love & Life.

    Yes Fernandes Sir,
Among my many experiences this is also one. I still remember the dialogue in Konkani...(I was not a part of it though)
Her friend seeing me: Pale Go Tho Ailaa...
She: Kon Tho? Kotho? Maaka Gothnaa...
Her Friend...Kasale Go? Paapa...Thun Kednaai Melcho...
She: Melchoki Kelchoki Maaka Gothnaa? Wochho Tho...
This after Loveena and before her Diana and Sabreena to some extent!
And now the jilted commit suicide, kill for small small issues.Tissue Paper stuff -I say!
