Mangalore: Shooting for 'Soombe' Tulu movie begins

The muhurat for the upcoming Tulu movie 'Soombe' was held at Sharavu temple here on Monday April 7, followed by a press meet at Hotel Saffron.
 
The screenplay, story writing, lyrics and the direction are by Sai Krishna Kudla.




































Addressing the press meet, Sai Krishna said that the movie has been produced by Kishore Kottari and Shwetha Kishore and presented by Indira Babu Kottari under the banner of Sri Yajnadhya Productions.
 
Hemanth Kottari and Anith Kottari are the co-producers of the movie, while Ashwith Kottari is the executive producer.
 
Young and dynamic actor Rahul and Hindi serial actor Shritama Mukherjee will play the lead roles.
 
Sandalwood comedians Buller Prakash and Biradhar will also be seen in special roles while famous Tulu comedians Devadas Kapikad, Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Sai Krishna, Jyotish Shetty, Shashiraj Rao Kavoor, Nellu Permannur, Prasanna Bailoor and others will be seen in different roles.
 
P L Ravi is the cinematographer and young artiste Edberg Dilon Soans is the music director.
 
"The shooting will begin from today and will continue for the next 25 days. Most of the shooting will take place in and around Mangalore and two songs will be shot in Madikeri and Bangalore," Sai Krishna said.
 
“The overall budget of the movie is estimated at Rs 75 lac. The movie is expected to be released by the end of this year," he added.
 
"A Tulu Movie Union and Chamber is the need of hour for the Tulu movie industry as more number of Tulu movies are coming up, which is indeed good for the industry. The industry has also created a name for itself in the Sandalwood industry,” he added.
 
Kishore Kottari, Shwetha Kishore, Ashwith Kottari, P L Ravi, Rahul and Edberg Dilon Soans were also present on the occasion.
