Udupi, Apr 14: Police on Sunday April  arrested two persons for robbing people, especially churchgoers in Shirva and various parts of Karkala over the past two years.

The arrested are Raviraj Devadiga (28) and Prakash Devadiga (32), residents of Heroor.

Police also seized 150 gm of gold, two bikes, and an Omni car which had been used for the thefts. The seized stolen property is estimated to be worth about Rs 7 lac.

In 2012, the duo had committed thefts in Belanjalu-Hadi Road under Shirva police limits, near Pathonjikatte under Karkala town police limits, Pilaru-Pernalu near Adivasi Shikshana Kendra, near Shirva Church, and Kuthiyar-Thotlaguri road. Recently, they also snatched chains from senior citizens returning from church.

Both thieves had targeted women returning from church after worship. During the investigation they also revealed that this was true in five out of six instances.

In order to trace the culprits, the police had formed three teams in Udupi, Mangalore, and Shimoga. As per information from the RTO, a stolen bike was also traced which helped nab the culprits.

Raviraj and Prakash worked as electricians and coolies.

As per the guidance of Karkala assistant division ASP Annamalai, Karkala circle inspector Sunil Nayak, and Shirva station inspector Ashok, Suresh, Vishwajith, Dharnappa, Rajkumar, Shridhar, Jagadish, Ravi, Annappa, and Bhaskar participated in the operation.

    Mr Bedra.....
After having done some tremendous research and taking to write a book simultaneously titled 'Indian Women's Likes and Dislikes', some 2 decades back, I have not yet finished on the 'Women's Likes' part O.K.? it's not easy as you write in that 'sentence of yours'.
What you saw of Phillipines ,Koreans and Europeans and their likes? They also like different things which however does not require any research like Indian women. Right? now you know how complicated the subject you brought up is?

    Sir,
Much before all this, I usually used to weep, seeing him on the Cross and remember asking my Mamma that didn't it hurt him staying like that, blood oozing and everything. And Yes! He has indeed blessed and made me know it.

I actually used to go to the church/churches for a different reason. Stealthily easy but not to steal....My work usually started after the sermon.
The one thing good that happened amidst all this is that I learned to kneel down before the Lord and came to know of him in my own way
    and where he indeed resided.

Kudos to the police department. But what is the punishment for such thieves. Our law is very weak for such types of crimes. Shortly they may come out from the jail and re-start their business as usual. Crimes will not be lessened unless the punishment is severe, even for theft one day they will not hesitate to kill someone for big theft. The Police is helpless due to shortfall in the law.

Now what is next bail, before that give them so much of beating that they should remember their father and mother. Please make them beggars, they want to make fast money, now its time for the people to act, parade them around so all know when they are out who these robbers are.

Thefts, murders and rapes are regular occurrences all over and it is good to see that Our Police Force under the guidance of the higher authorities have successfully nabbed the culprits.

I would say kudos to the police force in accomplishing their talks well.

The department of law and order should doubly make sure that thefts like these do not take place during elections as the bad elements would be imagining that the law enforcement force is busy with other duties.

Sir, our ladies are showing their gold to DUNIA, otherwise their worship is not complete without wearing gold. Ladies, god, don't want to see the original gold, wear glittering gold and attend the Marriage function and devotional worship. Congrats to our Police force. Well done, sir, we salute you.
