Mangalore: Causing trouble to other religions is against Islam: Qazi

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Apr 15: "Creating problems for people belonging to other religions, and indulging in communal disturbances, are both against Islamic principles," said Dakshina Kannada district Qazi, Twaka Ahmed Musliyar.

He was delivering benedictory address after presiding over Umara-Ulema convention held as part of the 81st Rateeb programme in the premises of Mohiuddin Jumma Masjid in Ullal on Sunday April 13. The programme was organized by Nusratul Islam Association, Melangady, Ullal.

"When Malik Deenar visited Kerala for propagating Islam, Hindus living there had extended facility for building mosque, place to stay, and other basic facilities. Because of this harmonious gesture on the part of Hindus, Islam could grow far and wide in this country," he explained.

Ibrahim Kodijal, vice-president of Dakshina Kannada-Udupi Central Muslim Committee, speaking on the occasion, expressed deep concern at the creation of two factions within the Sunnis.  He requested the factions to preserve unity by avoiding passage of criticisms and comments against each other, if they cannot be united.

On this occasion, president of the district Wakf Board, S M Rasheed, was felicitated. Dakshina Kannada-Udupi Central Muslim Committee president, K S Muhammed Masood, and former president of Sayyed Madani Dargah Committee, U K Monu, also addressed the gathering.

Khateeb of the mosque, Yousuf Misbah, former city mayor, K Ashraf, advocate, K P A Shukoor, Ullal Central Committee president, U K Khader, Mangalore Central Jumma Masjid trustee, Muhammed Hanif, and a number of other leaders were present.

President of the mosque, Mustafa Abudlla, delivered introcutory address. Former secretary, Rahim Kuttikkal, welcomed. Former president, Farooq Ullal delivered keynote address. Jabbar Arshadi proposed vote of thanks.

I feel that is waht Islam preches for the first time the respected Qazi Shaeb given right massage to our Muslim brothers. Unless all other religious leaders Hindu, Muslim, Christians are after vote bank politics influenced by our corrupt politicians of all parties. If all religion leaders stay tall like you strict to the principles of our great religions (Hindu, Muslim & Christian) Than we could enjoy peace all over the country. Unfortunately, our religious leaders fall in prey of dirty political games played by the corrupt politicians. None in the civilized society hate each other, we lived in this country in harmony for centuries. I salute your statement and advise other religious leaders to come out with a similar strategy since all religion preaches peace, tolerance, cooperation and respect to other religions. I feel at least one sensible religious leader emerged in our district. May God bles you with good health.

All violence and hating each other is not because of religion.

It is all because of politics and politicians. If at all the people could understand this dangerous poison which is killing slowly.

Have a view from all angles. Will lead to political matters. Just try it.

I welcome your statements, but with utmost respect and absolutely and no offence meant I am of the opinion that actions speak louder than words.

So as a respectable Indian Muslim leader may we request you the following:
    - Use your good offices to arrange for the safe return of Kashmiri pundits who are languishing in refugee camps for decades in Delhi and elsewhere. The only reason they have been driven out of their homes is because of their religion, and to the best of my knowledge there is no Muslim leader in or outside Kashmir that is practicing what you are preaching.
    - Also, we have this Indian Mujahedeen in our back yard, could you kindly seriously reprimand the leaders of these groups and ask the community, not to join them and report all illegal activities to the authorities.

Hit the disagree button if you will, but that will give me an indication how many of you do not want to live in peace.

As long as people don’t bring their GOD on the road, everything goes perfectly. Extremist in the name Religion one who creates the problem. Don’t interfere in others beliefs, don’t try to insult others religions and then you see everything goes perfectly. Ex-President of Egypt, Mr. Hosni Mubarak once said to his religious scholars who started interfering Politics that “A Preacher should preach religious fervor at religious place only, if you want to talk politics then pls come out from religious place and join us in the Diwan” Even Dubai Ruler once told few religious preachers that “I have constructed beautiful Mosques as well as Five Star Hotels too. Now it’s up to people to decide where they want to go and I can’t force anyone to go to one particular place only”. These rulers are very young in ruling any Nation but when it comes thinking they are far far better than any Asian Country like India!!!!

    Rightly said Qazi sir....
One of the aspects of religion that has influenced people in daily life is the idea of clean living. Almost all religions teach this in some form or other and it has been a major factor in the general level of health that we have and how long we live. Without religion, it is likely that we would not eat a healthy diet or get adequate exercise. So, religion plays a major role in any person's life

Rightly said Qazijee. Words of wisdom these are.
Kodijal Saab -You are also correct
about divisions within, Sunnis, Salafis (a) , Salafis (b) and so on.
This also prevalent among GSB's-Shanaa Paanche, Rajpuri, Saraswat and all that.
Among Christians, Protestants , Dalit Christians and all that.
Love should first be allowed to flow into the sub-castes AND THEN TO INTER-CASTES.
There should be no space for 'hatred' come what may. People should become so 'broad minded' that the 'path of love' should not have any hindrances. Now 'love' also should not be determined or defined taking a very 'narrow view'. Talks must not be limited to 'definitions'. Then only will the world be a better place to live in.

It is very unfortunate that our preachings are differing some time person to person and also with religion to religion.Don't expect all the fruits in the basket are good but some sometime rotten too!!!. Let 'GOD' Bless us all for the rightful path and it's truthful meanings.
