Udupi, Jun 19: The police department is getting more and more computer savvy each day.  It is a good sign that the police department which often needs to be on its toes could well be supported by modern technology.  It was only a few months ago that Dakshina Kannada police SP had launched the police blogspot.  The website has received overwhelming response ever since from all quarters of people especially the journalists.

This success might have inspired the district police too adopt the technology.  Under the new and young SP Dr Subrahmaneshwar Rao, the department has launched its own website www.udupipolice.blogspot.com.

The blogspot contains information about the entire police department of the district, information about all police stations in the district etc, said Dr Subrahmaneshwar while speaking to the reporters here on Sunday June 18 while launching the website.

He further revealed that the present blogspot would soon be turned into website which would work as a link between the police department and the public.
