Mangalore: U T Khadar, DC visit Kabeer's family, assure detailed probe

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Apr 20: Health minister U T Khadar on Sunday April 20 visited the residence of cattle trader Kabeer (29), who was shot dead by the Anti-Naxal Force on Saturday April 19 at Sringeri in a case of 'mistaken identity', and consoled the grieving family.

Khadar announced that the state government will award a compensation of Rs 5 lac to the family, and that home minister K J George has assured that the case would be handed over to the CID.

Deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim too visited the family and assured that a detailed judicial probe would be ordered into the case in consultation with Chikmagalur DC and additional chief secretary of the state government.

Mangalore North MLA Mohiuddin Bava too visited Kabeer's house and on behalf of the government assured of conducting a detailed enquiry into the case and doing justice to the family.

Kabeer along with four others was allegedly transporting cattle while passing through Srinegri checkpost. The ANF personnel mistook him for a Naxal and shot him dead. Of the four persons who were with him, two managed to escape, while Farook was arrested on the spot, and Sarfaraz was arrested by the police on Sunday.

Muslim organisations and leaders have widely condemned Kabeer's killing and demanded a thorough probe.

I read in a news as PFI Chief Safi Bellare said that these type of unjust incidents were very less during previous BJP rule.
    Late realisation.
Sorry for those who were accusing Gujarat/Namo as FEKU have become victims for their self proclaimed theory.

End of story they came, they shed crocodile tears and went never to take action, the goons of BD will continue their business as nothing has happened. The spineless HM who has his tail between his legs is useless if he was stern nothing would have happened. The moral of the story is Congress and BJP are bhai bhai we the public are fools to believe them.

Ministers,MLAs or Dc's visit will not effective unless the policeman who shot and police officer who heads that contingent arrested, put behind the bar.Congress Govt of Karnataka should deal this case very seriously or otherwise there is no difference between Modi's Guj Govt and Siddu's govt. Some are how the Home Minister need to take moral responsibility for this State fake encounter.
