B'lore: KKSV condemns Kabeer killing; Bajarang Dal attacks Kabeer’s kin

Media Release

Bangalore, Apr 21: The Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike (KKSV) condemned the inhuman act of the ANF with regard to the killing of Kabeer who was transporting cattle.

"The saffron agenda and fragrance within the police department has come to light after this incident. A thorough and high level investigation has to be done with regard to this case,” KKSV stated.

Responding to this incident, K L Ashok, the state chief secretary of the KKSV said, “This is not the first time that the ANF have committed such an act, there are many such examples wherein they have killed innocent people saying that they were naxals. Many people have been arrested in the name of naxalism and have been booked with fake charges, thus playing with their career.”

“The ANF personnel who had carried out this act must be immediately suspended and a proper investigation has to be conducted. All the other staff that was on duty when the incident took place too has to be suspended,” he added.

As per the statements given by the eye witness Rafiq who was along with Kabeer at the time of the incident, it is learnt that the vehicle was stopped for a check; meanwhile Kabeer was shot dead by the ANF. Looking at the details of the incident, it is clear that it was a planned murder.

“The ANF personnels related to this case have to be suspended and investigations have to be carried out immediately. Rs 10 lacs compensation has to be given to the kin of Kabeer immediately. If there is a failure in doing this the KKSV will hold a massive protest,” he stated.

He said, “There is no restriction for the transportation of cattle in the state and there is no prior incident where the naxals have been caught trafficking cattle, hence there was no need for the ANF to shoot the person who was trafficking cattle. There is a foul play by some hidden hands.”

The Bajarangadal activists attacked the family members of Kabeer in front of the police when they had gone to get his mortal remains.

“It is clear that the minorities have no justice even after the new government has come to power in the state. A clear and detailed investigation has to be carried out with regard to this case,” he said.
