Mangalore, Apr 29: A Tata 709 water tanker on its way to Kadri from Kottara hit an electric pole and toppled near the Kadri fire station near AJ Hospital.
The tanker belongs to the Ganga water services bearing registration number KA 19 B 3476.
The tanker was empty and on its way to fill up water, when a two wheeler riding in front of it applied sudden brakes. In a bid to avoid a collision the tanker driver swerved away but lost control and hit the electric pole.
No injuries have been reported.
Sources said that power supply has been affected in the surrounding area due to the accident.
