Doha: KSQ all geared up for 'Vasantotsava' musical fiesta

Doha, May 1: Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) is all set to celebrate 'Vasantotsava' on Friday May 2 evening at the Al Ghazal Club here.

Vasantotsava, the annual cultural feast of KSQ Qatar heralds the onset of spring season. The event is eagerly awaited for the wholesome entertainment it provides.


This year the organizers have lined up rib-tickling comedy and soulful, enchanting music as part of the entertainment package. Noted Kannada comedian, cine actor, dramatist and celebrity 

Sihi Kahi Chandru will be the special attraction of the evening. Sihi Kahi Chandru has carved a special niche for himself in Kannada theatre and film industry and is often regarded as one of the best Sandalwood comedians of the modern era.

Renowned singers Ajay Warrier and Sinchana Dixit and their music troupe along with the well-known musicians from Karnataka will be performing live. Both Ajay and Sinchana are known for their melodious voices in Kannada film industry and they have already given quite a few hit songs in Kannada films. 

The event will be compered by RJ Mayur of 92.7 Big FM 'Unplugged with Mayur' fame.  The entire evening is dedicated to the visiting artistes and there will not be any local stage programme from the organizers.
