Mangalore University degree results of BA, BCom, BSc and BSW examinations are out. The results will be displayed at respective colleges on Saturday June 24.

As many as 9,011 candidates appeared for the examinations from all colleges affiliated to Mangalore University. Out of these, 3,453 were boys and 5,558 were girls. From Dakshina Kannada district a total of 5,323 students answered while 2,856 and 832 students answered from Udupi and Coorg districts respectively.

A total of 7,091 students passed, out of which 2,416 are boys and 4,675 are girls. Udupi district achieved the highest pass percentage of 82.5 per cent followed by Dakshina Kannada with 77.6 per cent. Kodagu district secured a pass percentage of 72.7 per cent.

In BA, 2,267 students answered from Dakshina Kannada out of which 2,003 passed (88.4 per cent). Out of these, 1534 were girls and 733 were boys. A total of 1,398 girls and 605 boys passed.

In Udupi district, 1,246 students appeared for the BA examinations out of which 1,137 passed (91.3 per cent). Among these, 874 were girls and 372 were boys. As many as 825 girls passed while the number of boys who passed is 312.

In Kodagu district, out of the 547 candidates who appeared for BA exams, 445 passed. Among 320 girls, 287 girls passed while out of a total of 227 boys, 158 passed.

In BSc, the district level results are as follows: In Dakshina Kannada out of 1,029 candidates, 783 have passed (76.1 per cent). Out of 705 girls who appeared for the examinations, 537 passed while among 324 boys, 246 have cleared. In Udupi, 487 candidates answered among who 418 have passed (85.8 per cent). A total of 298 girls out 345 have passed, while 120 out of 142 boys have also emerged successful. In Kodagu, the total number of students who took the examinations is 79 out of which 65 have passed (82.3 per cent). Out of these, 53 were girls and the rest were boys. A total of 47 girls and 18 boys passed.

As many as 2,027 students appeared for the BCom examinations in DK district, out of which 1,344 have passed. Among these, 757 girls have passed out of 1,000 who appeared and among 1,027 boys 587 have passed. In Udupi BCom examinations, a total of 1,123 students appeared out of which 801 have passed (71.3). A total of 468 out of 622 girls have passed while out 501 boys 333 have cleared the exams. In Coorg, out of 206 students 95 have passed (46.1 per cent). A total of 58 out of 105 girls and 37 out of 101 boys have passed.

In BSW, all 73 students who appeared for the examinations have passed. Out of these, 32 are girls and 41 are boys.
