Udupi, Jun 25: At a cost of Rs 105 lac, a Government First Grade College will be established at Hiriyadka.

Minister in-charge V S Acharya said that Rs 49.5 lac was sanctioned recently of which Rs 35 lac was for the buildings, Rs 14.5 lac for facilities like library, laboratory etc.

The staff has been sanctioned for the college which will have Arts, commerce and science section.

The college will operate temporarily from this academic year at the premises of Hiriyadka Junior college.

The college will benefit students from Parkala, Perdoor, Bailur and Manipal and Udupi.
